It looks like the CAT is there and a hint of a tube style resonator so he shouldn't have a problem.
But I think a need for a better stereo system may be in order

Honestly, that sounds horrible!!

Sound like a freakin Honda w/ a cheap *** fart can....essentially what this is.

I like the concept of the side exit, just needs a different note.

What kind of afr's are you running up top? And what resonator is that?

And kc I can promise you it doesnt sound rice, unhook your exhaust one day and you will see its nothing like that.

I have, and it did. I have done the one ball mod, and upon 'cold' acceleration it is a bit ricey/irritating to me.

I mean, we are just a 1.6L SOHC motor...the rice sound is HARD to avoid.

I grew up around domestics, but even still my zx14 w/ Two Brother slip-ons has a deeper note through the RPMs then any Mini i have heard.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions everyone!

Still a little bit of tweaking to do, but nothing major. We originally thought about a plate on the side skirt, but then decided against it. Just didn't like the look. I am trying to find some kind of high heat rubber-like compound to use almost like a grommet.

I can assure you it's not a ricey tone. At low rpms it is rather deep, at high rpms it is very "racey", not ricey. If you're ever in my area, I'd be glad to show you.

We will see what he thinks after a couple of days. I did a 3" no CAT and a SS straight muffler in 06 and it was to much after the second day.

Ya, I dealt with my 2.5", no cat, no mufflers for about 8 months and it got to the point where I didn't even want to get in my car.

Any chance of a fly-by of the exhaust ? Or just something outside of the shop. I am trying to give it the benefit of the doubt, w/ it being in a small enclosed area.

There was no picture of how you patched up the rear OEM tailpipe notch, maybe you haven't so what are your plans for that?

Thanks for the comments!

I am planning on doing a few video shoots of it: in car, outside, flyby, revving, and so on... I promise to hurry up with that.

As for the back bumper, I had started a thread asking about plugs for the rear bumper. Some people pointed me in some good directions, but as of now, I don't have a definite solution. I am looking into it though. I may just drop by my friends local body shop, and see if he can make something to match the black plastic trim that he can mold in or something.

As for dealing with it. I'm loving it thus far. All I can think about when I'm not driving it...is driving it!

It is my only car, and a daily driver. I personally emjoy the loudness of it though. I don't know why, but I honestly feel uncomfortable with an exhaust that I can't hear well. Basically 95% of stock exhaust systems on any car. That's just me.

Video usually does make things sound higher pitched than they are. I hope you get a drive by soon. I would love to hear it in a real world situation.
