Frank,

Believe us, we understand your frustration. We want to see your car running properly just as much as you do. We discussed our refund policy earlier. It is also on our website. The exhaust can be sent back to the manufacturer and if they find it to be defective we will be more than happy to provide a refund or exchange. From Pete's professional inspection he did state that the catback system appears to be fine, with no contact to the body, heatshield, and underbody brace.

Let's talk Wednesday(as we already discussed) about your most recent trip to the other exhaust shop.

Cheers
Ralph

Since you exposed yourself as a (vendor) "let the CAT out of the bag" figural speaking... I had the other exhaust specialist look at the issue, he also did not find any problems...so I am going to remove the milltek and reinstall my factory one and send it back to you. This exhaust whether it is o.k or not (defected) is not working with my set up, of which i specified to you the installed modifications (RMW header) prior from purchase. I'ts only fair. As I said many times I don't wan't to take this any further to complicate things. I only will agree to refund my money and/or have minspeed purchase/swap a borla street exhaust to install to see if this system works. Just think about how much I have already spent on having other companies look at this problem in addition to having the exhaust removed and sent back to you, and not only that, i am worried that it may cause damage to my car or engine. The final result is that I could of purchased another milltek to see if the original one was defected. I don't want to loose any more time, aggravation and money!!! So it's time to do the right thing here.

The only reason I bought this from you is that you are a NAM vendor, Highly recommended...just in case any problems came up, I would be covered.

I would like to here your response.

Edit: Btw, I also forgot to mention that my car is sitting in the body shop waiting for aero kit installation, which i've been waiting for 2 months for an opening..they are telling me that if this is not resolved with in next couple of days they will be forced to reschedule for another day, (3 months from now) so make this happen A.S.A.P. take any necesary measures to expedite this delivery of new borla exhaust and/or refund.

Sincerly

Frank

Just to share, I saw BTT exhaust over the weekend at Carbo's house.

The amount of exhaust tip movement is overly excessive. All exhaust tips move or vibrate a bit but its all over the place.

When I had my header added to the Milltek,a smoke test revealed a missed weld between the twin pipes(just before they head off in seperate directions to the tips).I cetainly could pursue a defect in production.Your trials are'nt making me feel good about that possibility. The Milltek seemed fine until a header was added. The excessive side to side "swing" of the rear section is a flaw in my opinion. The hangers seem to lack as well.I was such an advocate of the Milltek-now the love has faded.I hope you get satisfaction from the parties involved.

Lets hook up after the body kit is installed . Can't wait to see it .

Lets take Carbo out for some beers, preferably a place w/ polls , Carbo needs cheering up for sure.

BTT,
I have had the Milltek on my car a year and change.-noticed the defect when mechanic doing header install ran a smoke test to check for leaks(standard test)

Ditto! Only closer to 40K for me.

My Milltek has been trouble free and music to my ears for MANY miles. NO vibrations.

It sounds to me as though either the installer allowed/created a leak (hence the noise and vibration) or COULD be a leak in the pipes from manufacturing, although I have not heard anyone else have that problem with the brand.

IF it is a mfg. defect, they WILL make it good.

Try to think of this as an opportunity to build "good karma." Be patient and good luck.

Second, when driving it vibrated my interior like crazy.

Third, it was so loud that a cop pulled me over and gave me a warning

AND FINALLY, My steering wheel had a slight vibration on idle..

What a day I had...seems that the exhaust specialist places the blame on the vendor for faulty exhaust (of which i will not expose until this is settled), and the vendor is telling me that he never heard of this problem, it was installed incorrectly.

I paid already $150 for the install, and $989 for the exhaust...also, if i wanted to reinstall my old oem exhaust it would cost me another $100.

Has anyone experience the problems before? any suggestions are welcome.

btw, i have a RMW header, JCW CAI, and 15% pulley.
Hey BTT,
What was the final outcome?

Frank found the brace underneath that they use on the convertible was not tightened down

He called this week to tell me it was the brace and NOT the header

first off whats a MCSCa? I have the milltek exhaust installed it my self in about 20min in my garage useing small ramps install was a snap everything fit perfect no rattles and its not much louder than the stock exhaust little deeper but not much louder. sounds like the install guy messed something other than the exhaust up! id take it somewhere that knows mini's and have them see whats up! the inside noise is just about the same as well.

and for fairness sake, the exhaust is noticably louder than stock. i'm eying that rmw shorty milltek combo also! should go nice with the rmw cam. my miltek has had no issues (knock on trim).
