Advice needed. Cone filter for the stock MCS airbox

I recently bought a stock airbox from a nam member because my 03 MCS came with everything either missing or cut to pieces and was replaced with an ebay special. I had intended to put either the JCW or Dinan airbox on and needed the lower part of the stock box. While looking at options I found these 2 filters that I think will work in the stock airbox.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Are there other options out there?

I kind of like the idea of modding my box for better airflow. I really like the idea of using the money for other mods that I would save by not buying one of the (overpriced) CAI's on the market.

This is the only thread I found on this but I know there must be a few more who have done this.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you're going with a completely stock air box, why not just stick with a panel filter? You can go with paper, foam or cotton options.

If I stick with the stock airbox I would mod it to be more or less like the Dinan with air flow from the cowl into the top portion of the box. If I used a panel filter the air wouldn't be filtered.
