03 Invida exhaust to fit an 06 Cooper S

Ok. So I picked up an invidia exhaust from an 03 and I understand that it requires mods of the hangers in order to make it fit an 06.

I went to a muffler shop and they said that since the pipes were stainless, they couldnt do the weld since its stainless and what they weld may not hold.

Anyone know exactly what type of weld I need to ask for when Im calling around?

Anyone successfully done this to their Invidia exhaust?

Any recommendations on muffler shops in So Cal area?

obviously, the shop you went to is either don't want to deal with it as it won't profit them much, or they are really dumb.

Just take it to any other muffler shop and they can fix it for ya..

All that should need to be done is the two inside hangers need to be heated and bent Shouldn't have to weld anything

I had a custom bend welded into my Invidia so that it would fit on my Cabrio. Its a piece of galvanized aluminum that they welded into my stainless pipes

It can be done

Try looking up Ed Hansons muffler place in spring valley (I think). Alot of the West Coast Mini group use him.
