You won't gain 10 HP from half an air fuel.

No i think you misunderstood, My air fuel was in between 10.5 and 11... I know I worded it wrong, my bad! I was gunna tune it to 12:1 or so... And I know I was sayin that I was running rich and meant to say that i plan on leaning it out to a flat 12:1

I'd keep it under 11.6 to keep things safe.

10.5 isn't really rich. 10.5 is kind of a "Safe Tune". Usually Jan tunes for around 11.5-11.8 on street cars, maybe a little more fuel if the car is going to the track (10.8-11.2).

I wouldn't waste money with the Apexi, save your money and enjoy your car .

Without a tune you wont' see much from a meth kit. The idea is that you can crank up the timing because it "Simulates" race fuel. The Air fuels aren't as much of a concern (Although meth does slightly richen up the AF's).

With a tune, sure, you could run meth and gain 8-10 HP. The problem is you HAVE to use water meth then (or put race gas in) otherwise you're going to have issues with detonation.

Still, I don't like the idea of being "Tied" so to speak to meth. What if you're on a road trip? You have to carry meth around with you if you plan on driving the car hard.

true, my boss has the meanest saturn sky out there, (bought the NA 2.4 and put a custom turbo kit manifold, our own intercooler, our own exhaust and tune and he put out 400rwhp on our dyno dynamics dyno! on 20psi! he goes through water meth alot too so he runs around with a couple gallons or 2 of water meth in his trunk...haha... he ran a 4.1 0-60mph on his v-box with his tires spinning like crazy! LOL, its pretty insane... and hes sellin it too... I know im off topic... sorry!

yes you could tune it for the water/meth on the Apexi....the AFC has two map setups so you can tune one without the h20/meth and the other with. If you have a reduction pulley and header/exhaust you could easily gain 10hp with the apexi. Just please run a wideband o2 gauge when doing so, as your a/f change with the weather. I ran mine on the twincharge setup in the high 11's at WOT at 27psi....no issues...
