Drivetrain 2005 MCS Sport Calipers
2005 MCS Sport Calipers
Hello all,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I've recently done a bunch of upgrades on my Mini: New plugs, new Rotors, new brake pads, new 17" tires, new cd deck, which have been mostly cosmetic. But there's one more thing I want to do before moving into the performance area: Sport Calipers.
Now, Matilda (My Mini's name) is a metallic blue MCS with white roof/rear view mirrors and a sunroof.
My gut feeling is to go with blue calipers, but I also think red would work well, as well. So I guess my two questions are:
1) What colour would work best?
2) Where can I get some calipers, bearing in mind I'm in Ontario, Canada.
Thanks!

Yea, I'm confused too. What do you mean by "Sport Calipers"? There aren't any factory colors available for the calipers. JCW is JCW, but those only come in red, and are over 1k new (And totally not worth it in the upgrade department).
If you just drive your car on the street, upgrade the fluid. Then get a set of SS lines and some good pads, and call it a day.
Calipers are available from the parts department I suppose, but expect to pay an arm and a leg for them. Keep an eye out on NAM for a set of used calipers.
