It was the "Tornado" that I bought off an innfomercial at 2 in the morning. I'm also getting 100 MPG with it.

So with an incredible tune and a Red Sox win over the Yankees I will call April 13,2008 a very good day.

that's about as efficent as you can possible get with regards to $/hp/tq increases. Wow... that is a totally different car.

My car went from 163.1 to 170 in the HP department.
146.2 to 154.8 torque.
Thats the best we could squeeze out of my old tired engine.

My car almost broke Jan's Dimsport tool. Froze it right up...

I have received a confession from Greenmonster that he buried a Red Sox jersey at Bishops to put a curse on all Yankee Fans dyno numbers

Hey Jan im getting my car tuned by you on april 25th @ mach V (cant wait!!)

My buddy told me not to aim high with hp because its never the numbers you want. Anyways,

Do you think ill hit 200whp?

17% reduction pulley, Alta intake (no silicon inlet -- i think that doesnt do jack), and borla catback.

Anything else i should buy before the tune to squeeze power out? I really want to hit 200

It might help if you post on a more recent thread! (this one is from 08)
IMO you will need bigger injectors at the least...and a cam very likely.

Oh lol, didnt notice.

Do you really think ill need a cam and injectors?

I've seen dyno graphs of MINIs that made 200whp with my same mods. but then ill see some that make nowhere near 200whp.

I guess it depends on how strong the motor is....but it seems most 15% reductions I have read about get a 10 hp boost on a retune with larger injectors....tuning without injectors seems to just optimize the motor...since the injectors are running at max duty cycle...or pretty darn close.
I look at what mini did...the pre 2005 jcw's were limited to 200 hp...but when the 2005 came out, an updated computer, bigger injectors, and a cai made it a 210hp jcw....the heads are slightly ported too...so I always expect an s to have good gains, but to be behind most jcw with the same items till a bit of headwork is done. Sure...there are parts that perform better than jcw, and we run bigger pulleys, but that makes more heat...and that can cause the computer to retard the timing a bit...reducing hp...I run a 17%, and I like it....but I know on a hot day, I likely get more lag, and less hp than a similarly equipped car with a 15%, or even the JCW pulley...but 85% of the time IMO, I get more. I'll see in a few weeks when my tune gets done!

Edit...one note...post 2005 s have the same black coated sc...this helps keep the charge cooler, and build a bit more boost...it is good for a few extra hp....earlier jcw's had the same coating...it became standard on the 2005+ cars.
