Drivetrain exhaust and battery
No, disconnecting battery will not clear ECU parameters....check engine lights/warning lights/fuel curves/timing/etc. The system may adapt *slightly* over a few days by "learning" but that's it.

From my understanding, reading, studying and experiments, I believe that
the EMC looks at only a couple of things when it is "learning".
1) The oxygen sensors in the exhaust pipe. If the O2 sensor says the
mixture going is was too rich, it will make the injectors fire for a smaller
amount of time. If it says the mixture was too lean, it fires them longer.
2) The knock sensor. If the engine is knocking, the timing is retarded.
So really, I'm not sure how much "learning" the EMC will need to
do when you change the exhaust.
There is a "short-term" and "long-term" fuel trim, and I don't know
how long "long" is.
