Pulley: Original vs. Version 2.0

Alta has their original s/c pulley on sale for $100 and their version 2.0 costs around $140.

My question is:

Is it worth spending the extra $40 to get the 2.0 or will the original design suffice?

I've had my version 1.0 pulley on for 32,000 trouble free miles. For me it wouldn't be worth $40 more for a pulley that does the same thing as the lower cost original. Just my .02 here.

I've got V2.0 as the price was the same. For $40 (a 40% premium! ) I'd take the V1

I'd go w/ version 1 again. I've had mine on for over 142,000 miles now.

I actually prefer installing the V1, as one of the collar clamping bolts on the V2 is very hard to get a torque wrench onto to tighten it properly. And I've installed several each of both the V1 and V2, as well as the Helix and M7 pulleys.

I like the idea of the V2's clamping collar with its own bolts, if you've got a damaged/scratched up supercharger shaft and are worried that the V1 or a similar design may slip, but for just replacing a factory pulley, I'll go with the V1 every day of the week, even if the V2 were the same price.

Go with the V1. save the 40 bucks for an intake or something.
