Best replacement filter for JCW airbox?
Hi guys
I put the question to you all, what do you think the best replacement airfilter for the JCW is?
I have been waiting for Alta to release a foam style filter that will fit, but in fear that may never happen, i am looking at ITG.
I've had my share of K&N filters over time, but recently i have read not so good things about paper filters, as opposed to foam...
So what will/should it be? experience/opinions please!

I have the GTT filter (http://www.gtt.uk.com/parts4.asp). The filter is a washable cotton gauze cylindrical element and uses a second circular gauze filter across the end it is larger than the paper original and just fits into the box. But you do have to drill 3 holes in the JCW air box to hold it in place with 3 springs (all the hardware is provided). If you dont want to drill holes in your box don't buy it. You do get plugs that go in the holes so it is not noticable.
As for the gains never got before and after dynos (as I did it myself) but the 5hp gains that the quote are probably very optimistic
.
I looked at all the others before I got the GTT.
The ITG is foam so it probably won't last as long as the cotton filters. I didn't go with the mini-mania and mini-madness JCW filters as the postage costs were outrageous ($75USD) and helix only accept international payment via wire trasfer (more added costs).
Am I happy with the GTT filter - yes, would I buy it again - probably.

It's the ITG for me.
If they're good enough for Historic Formula One cars, they're good enough for me!
Oh..and it's been "de-flapped" as well.

ITG
ITG Filter and removed flap.
Not really engine louder, but definatley the supercharger more pronounced (I love the S/C whine)
That's the correct Amsoil filter. I use it also and am VERY happy with it. Very easy to clean (just blow it out from the inside with compressed air), free breathing, great sound due to the thin membrane.
It fits perfectly with no mods to the filter. It is about 1/2 inch shorter than the JCW paper filter - so I added a little stack of about 4 stainless washers taped to the "holder" block in the JCW box to "shim" it, so it rests against the end of the filter and serves the intended purpose of holding it in place on the flange. You could use any solid material about 3/8-1/2" think as a shim in that location at it would work fine.
