Another boost problem.

I sold my M7 DFIC and swapped back with stock IC last night.

However, right after the swapping. I lost all the boost, the boost gauge showed from negative to maximum 3psi or so. The car is definately slow revving. Takes forever to rev on 2nd gear from 3k rpm to 5k rpm.

I looked around for cable looseness, haven't seen any without taking the IC off. I'll have to check again tonight, what could be the reason?

Could the IC be clogged with water (I did wash it years ago and put it in a plastic bag.), or maybe some hoses/cables under the IC became loose? Could it be that the bypass valve suddenly failed during the swapping?

Someone please give me some hints. thanks..

There is a chance you're loosing boost at the boots of the IC. Make sure it's sealing all around the bottom too.

Try cleaning the intercooler.
I found a How To on my local club website.

Thanks, indeed. The couplers were okay, but one side, the bolts were tightened up enough. Fixed and I'm happy again. Thanks again.
