I live near Bloomington IL and want to get the RMW tune, and was curious if anyone else would be interested. I heard a rumor that the Chicago clubs were getting something going? Has anyone heard this? I am about halfway between Chicago and St. Louis and would travel either way, or if we can get more people from both, we can do it around here. Who is in?

 

I can't believe that nobody in the state of Illinois or surrounding states is interested in having their cars tuned by Jan!? Did I post this in the wrong place or something?

 

I tried to get into the group from Indy (I think that was right) but it got canceled. It was the wrong time of the year to drive up to MI for the tune, so I have been patiently waiting for Jan to come around this way again. I am definitely in if we can get this arranged.

 

Does anyone know where we could get access to a dyno for this? It may be pointless as it doesn't appear that there is enough interest from the Chicago, St. Louis, or Indy areas. I am smack in the middle of all three and would travel to any of them or host something here if interested.

I'd consider doing it remotely with the internet connect, but I have no idea how to find a Dynapack in the area.

I've been in talks with Jan about an event in the Chicago area. We are working on the details and dates. After MOTD I hope to have all the details worked out and ready for people to sign up.

looks like I'll be making another trip to Chi-town... Just try not make it the last week of June and first week of July (Disney vacation)

 

I have a couple of business trips I have to do in late June/very early July, but will otherwise be up for it. Hell, I'll have someone else run my car up there is I can't make it! Now if I could just afford to do the Jesus head, cam, exhaust, and a turbo!!

My understanding is that if you have access to a dyno and 10 or more people that want the tune, Jan will work with you on arranging something. I figured I would try to get in on something in Chicago, as it is hard to get enough people together down here. We don't even have a dealer, although I am not sure why. I see an average of 5-6 different Minis down here each day I am in town.

 

I have a dyno lined up and a shop to do it in near IL/WI state line. Looking at Mid July date/s. Will need 10 or more to make all the numbers better for everyone. Will also be offering other mods/service at the event. Once I have all the details worked out I will start a thread for it with all the info. It will not be the same weekend as MTTS.

 

If the dates work for me, definitely count me in. I'll be around mid July, and if it's a day I can make it there, I'll be there--that's a reasonable location. There is a MINI dealer in Milwaukee; there are a couple of guys from Badger Bimmer that are consistently at the HPDE's, and when this begins to firm up, I'll give them a heads up to see if they're interested (I suspect both of them will be). Oh, and I forgot to say this earlier, but a big THANK YOU for trying to set this up.

Hey D, you already know I'm in for this. If possible please not the weekend of June 21-22 or July 12-13. No way for me on those weekends.

 

i'll be in for anything in the midwest, but I am in chicago. Any date is good. Been waiting for Jan to hit the midwest!

 

I'd love to do this... but what sort of $$$ are we talking about? (Everything from Jan's time to dyno time) I'd love to throw my hat in, but I've got to sell the idea on the homefront...
