Looking at the MINI Pilo cold air intake for the MCS. Looks ALOT like the others in concept. ALOT less $$. Anyone compare side by side yet performance/fit/finsh?

Randy?

Yes. This topic has been exhaustively discussed. The best way to find out the differences is to do a search in the Performance Modification section for cold air intake.

Please don't interpret my comments as a flame. They most definitely are not. I just think you will find the information that you are seeking much more quickly and with greater opinion if you search rather than wait for some to post an answer.

Your assumption is correct. It has been Dyno Tested by randy at Mini-Motorsport.com and was rated at 6-7 HP. I have sold lots to many people, as well as have been running one on my car for about 8K Miles. I have not had one problem with it, and have not heard any problems from anything else. I have also raced with it numerous times, and have done rather well with my latest bringing me a first place in my class with a nice little trophy as well. Thanks for your interest.

I haven't had anything else put on my MCS so I can't compare it to others but I had my pilo intake on my MCS for 2000 miles or so. This is the only performance mod I have done so far on my MCS but the difference is very noticable. Specially around 5000-6500 rpm area. I am very happy with my purchase and yes, I feel that I did save $100 or so.

Good work PILO!!

Tahnks, Glad you enjoy your intake. Just so every one knows, I have plenty in stock, and I'm shipping every day.

Hi all.

I have finally recieved the Pilo Intake (it did get here on time) and installed it for my track day last Sunday. Thanks Dan... it was very easy to install but the holes on the wall did not fit wilth the bracket so I drilled two holes in the bracket to make them fit. The whole installation took less thank an hour.

I noticed that the rev range is much smoother and revs quicker. HP gains are noticable. Standing start is also smoother.

Definitely a good value mod.!!!!!!!!Hope I can get my PC going to post some pics...
