most bang for my buck :D

I've got a 2002 mini S, I am just curious what mods give the most bank for your buck.

so list some parts with some links if you can, and how much hp they would potentially ad. i've done a 15% pulley, chip (alta i believe, it was the previous owner) exhaust, cold air intake.

I'm ready to replace everything as they came with the car.

i'm in the navy also so i'm away right now and want to basically get my car rebuilt while i'm away so when i come home i have a nice new feeling mini to tear it up with :D

I'd like to spend around 3k-4k so if you know any outstanding packages then suggest em.

Mainly intercoolers, do they make that much of a difference?

think suspension, new springs and/or coilovers. But definately a rear sway bar, best thing to improve the handling.

+1 for suspension, AND brakes. Where is the car stationed, so you can find the right shop to deal with.

the car is hanging out in my parents garage, my brother gets the done usually for free, he's the guy from the insurance company that works with the body shops and scuh when you get ni accident, so he knows guys and has great friends that work in any facet, and they generally do whatever for free, for now my oil changes tune ups, things like that.

so installation is not a problem, i just want to get the most performance, i'm talking about drietrain here also, not suspension, suspension will be taken care of, i'm getting an HK kit i believe, or another, saw a great deal on them.

Strongly consider polyeurithane control arm bushings.

After a pulley, the next biggest bang for your buck, power wise, will be a good high flowing head and custom tune.

There is a huge debate on intercoolers...IMO, don't mess around with air-air, the stock one is just fine, unless you really start pushing the HP, then look into w2a. It does get expensive but they work extremly well and you get what you pay for.

I agree. leave whats on it and direct funds to head, cam, header & tune.

IC - the stocker is hard to outperform so keep it.
