I know I'm waiting for a response! I've been starring at his Red Devil for months now and I want a ballpark figure so I know how much it will cost for my build! Plus, a GT35R would compliment it nicely.

No I know it would work but that would be so much lag.

on a 2.5L, yes. GT30 or GT32 on the 2.0L. The GT35/2.5L is good for 400+whp and 3500rpm spool.

My sources say it's good to up to 600HP. Might be just a hair big for the 2.0L. I might scale it down. I was gonna go with a GT3071R but I am gonna go inbetween those two in the end. I wonder what turbo Jan went with on his red car...

I did say '400+whp' didn't I? That means more than 400BHP, a lot more. Normally on a Subaru, 20% losses on the drivetrain vs. 12% on the MINI, so 500+HP at the crank (depends on mods...meth of water injection, FMIC, etc).

How about the loss of tire tread every time you step on it .

the scooby guys have NOTHING on the EVo guys! 800bhp is childs play to them. 1000bhp 2.0 or 2.3s is where its at for them!

also you can have a HTA conversion done to the 35's which makes them spool pretty quick on a 2.0. thats what Buschur uses and he is getting full boost (30+psi) under 5K.

i think the 2.0 conversion will really open up the turbo market for the MINI. a GT30R al of a sudden is the normal sized turbo to be running.

also with the Rotex kit they are coming out with, big power and driveability should be on the cards....

thanks Chris.

It wouldn't be the $15K Cosworth 2.5L that T-Rex Motorsport built is it? Pushing like 850HP.

I believe it was built by Cosworth for that guy, but then TRex sponsored him, so, he sold it to my buddy. It's still in a crate. I can post pics later when I log back into my profile on this machine (running an install at the moment)
