building motors is a skilled trade. sadly, not many do it right any more. Cosworth will no longer build longblocks (that might have been the last of the flat fours). Even the Cosworth head for the MINI isn't made in-house, despite what some will tell you. Not that it matters in a sense...it's the specs and design that's important as long as the shop that does the work is competent.

here is what is in the engine as nothing was spared

Custom stroker crank
Custom Stroker rods with 220,000psi rod bolts..... 3/8" diameter (big block chevy size )
custom stroker pistons
custom sleeves
ARP Main stud kit
ARP head studs
440cc injectors
RMW head
RMW Header
RMW CAM
RMW custom tuning
Custom bearings
New oil pump
New timing chain/tensioner etc etc
Balanced and blue printed

this is a full blown kit ready to roll....... you can start figuring it's NOT going to be cheap but when compared to spending 6K for a brand new complete engine it's not that expensive considering 100whp more than stock and 80ft lbs of torque and it drives like stock and looks like stock

Holy **** Jan That is going to be slick! The Mini community is going to have so many sleepers running around...We will all get the respect that we deserve(that everyone forgot we had). It has to be about every other day I hear, "your car is CUTE". Might as well scraped their nails on a chalk board...I cannot wait to get my fabbing under way. I believe that my father and I are going to take a trip to see you and a few others out in Cali this summer

Yes, very big out here. In Mid-May last year we had a run out here called MOAT (Mother of All Twisties). VERY fun run . There are plenty of runs that happen every few weeks out here though. If you're going to plan a trip out here try to coordinate with a few of us local guys so we can get a run of some sort put together .
