I have a MINI-Madness intake. I haven't had a chance to compare it with an Alta intake yet, but when stomping it, my guess is the whine on my car is louder but when just driving, it appears the Alta is a bit louder.

Not sure where that ranks on a scale of 1 to 5

I have an alta and figured mine was about as loud as it gets. This is making me want something even louder.

Anyone want to trade an M7 AGS for an Alta 2.0?

I am running the ProMINI intake and I think it's obnoxious loud. Even with the windows up, I can hear the bypass valve in between shifts and the sc whine is great! I can't imagine it being any louder... anybody have a comparison to this intake? I haven't heard any others recently.

I have zero experience with any others...the Madness intake sounds throaty at part throttle and absolutely screams once the JCW flap opens - at all not objectionable

Maybe a worthless question, but interesting (and some funny replies) none the less. I have an Ultrik now without the shroud cut out. Before installing it I was afraid it would be too loud. Nope. The Magnaflow is way louder.

Next week I'll have a Madness with the cutout rear shroud installed. Oh, and the Craven 15% pulley.

Maybe I can give my subjective answer then.
