Pulley installer cost in Mpls/St.Paul area?

I have been calling around trying to find a local shop to do a pulley install. So far, I have only found two shops; One requires that they supply the pulley and the cost will be $430. The other has never done a pulley install, but would do it for (3hrs at $90 per) about $270 without pulley. I am leaning toward the first, as they have the experience (and given my work schedule and lack of patience, I'd rather have a pro do this). But $430 seems a bit high...

So, I have two questions:

Does $430 (Alta Classic 15% pulley/no belt included) sound about right? And does anyone know of a shop in the Mpls/Stp area that is mod-friendly?

did mine on my own, it was alot cheaper.

But if I was paying for the install, you want someone that has experience doing it.

Did mine too, as well as another.

As for a shop in the Twin Cities, Orr Autosport is the way to go.

I know the name of a mechanic who works for Motorwerks. He does work on the side. PM me and I'll give you his name and #. He charged me $700 to change my clutch and flywheel (labor only), less than half that the dealer would.

Thanks for the feedback! Still considering doing it myself. My dad and I restored a couple of old Porsches when I was younger, but I'm a lot less patient these days and would really rather have a pro do it. I've spoken to Dave at Orr Autosport, really nice guy. But Orr is the shop asking $430 (pulley supplied) and that seems a bit high. Most quotes around the country are considerably lower and I wouldn't think location mattered in pricing.

Thanks markp, I just sent you a pm!
