Drivetrain Alta crank pulley question
Alta crank pulley question
Any of you had the crank pulley fly off after installation.
Am getting ready to put one in (0%)
and I was told this is something that happens????
any truth, any way of preventing it?
Thanks

i was interested for a long time in the crank pulley, but theres always been doubts in my mind as far as the safeness of the part. theres probably 100 posts on the issue. ive read alot of them and some are good, some are bad. i personally chose to put one on and have had no issues but thats justa personal experience. If your at all concerned about hurting your engine there are thousands of things you can do as an alternative to get a little more HP. recently i had the opertunity to speak with a Field Service Engineer for BMW and he has not heard or any real issues with engines failing due to the lightened pulley. i wish you the best of luck but if your concerned mabe look in other avenues for mods.
