Go to the dealer and get a new rubber.

Not to be a vulture or anything but if you used the Minispeed resonator eliminator pipe in you one ball conversion, I'd be interested in buying it from you.
Thanks

I'd have recommended bailing wire.

I'd recommend a magnum, but that's just me.

Well installed it today, was quite a PITA working under the car by myself companied by a few boxes..
So i went for a drive and when i got back( engine is warm) i saw some faint white smoke coming out from the exhaust and a slight burning smell( burnt marshmallow smell) as well.
My frd with a 335i said the same happened with his exhaust when he first installed it, is this normal?
by the way it isnt leaking and its an INVIDIA
Thanks!

I bought the Invidia over a year ago for my '05 MCS.. The smoke and the smell is normal. You'll also notice alot of tiny metallic dust on the boot area. All of this is part of the breaking in period. It took 3000-3500 miles for that dust to stop. The smoke and smell will take a few hundred miles.

It's normal for any new exhaust to smell and smoke a little. It's just the new materials heating up for the first time.

Yes it is normal. You are essentially burning a coating that is applied to the exhaust.

Now that everything went in finally, the tips dont line up -- the left side is higher
freaking right side hanger is lower than the left side..probably got bent or something when i got the one ball mod done at a shop

I got mine on over the weekend with the use of a friends 4 post lift. I too have the smell and discovered it was something other than "new exhaust". The rear valance on my car (black strip) was heating up and melting to the tips. It's strange because my tips are snug against the plastic where as you seem to have a space. I do need to tweak on my hangers a bit to pull the exhuast back as well as adjust the tips some.

Kinda random but, do you work under the car with the back end jacked up like that? Doesnt seem all that safe to me.

Anyway, aside from the fitment how do you like the rest of it (sound specifically)?

other than all the annoying things that wasnt really invidia's problem, the exhaust is great -- i havent heard any other exhausts in person, but compared to the average aftermarket exhaust on cars.. i would think the invidia is relatively quiet.
At idle or below 2K the sound is very deep and full, if you were in the car behind me tho, i doubt you could've heard much of it (which is good?)
past 2K the sound really comes out, but at high revs the supercharger is still a bit more dominant(which is good? again?)
the burble sound isnt quite frequent as my one-ball exhaust, but its rounder and deeper compared to the oneball. When i start the car up cold before with the oneball, the burbles sounds more like pops ( papapapapapaa)
The exhaust definately looks great, but my finish wasnt quite even, the left side had a bit more blue than the right. Again just little things cuz im picky.
