Thanks for posting this back up to the top. I think the answer depends on WHAT is hanging. If it is the little trumpet / scoop / tube leading up to the cowl, then yeah no problem. If the entire SG is hanging, that might eventually cause a vacuum leak.

Please clarify, so we can all help you better!

yeah, its just the "trumpet" looking scoop that goes into the firewall by the bright red sticker. the SG is fastened down securely still.

Hi Adam,
After being occupied by other distractions, I finally got to install Topper’s CAI on Sunday afternoon. Now the underhood red bling is complete: it looks great, sounds great, and feels great! And the Turbo Inlet Hose fit-up that I was less than totally happy with has taken care of itself with its connection to the ALTA CAI.
Per instructions, I removed and plugged the sound generator branch, and the only way I could disconnect the sound generator was to first completely remove the Hot Side Boost Tube. Thought I would never have to deal with that thing again, but its removal and reinstallation (this time with gloves!!!) was a piece of cake! I have not had any CEL issues.
Topper and I are very happy. Thank you, Adam.

I feel the same way about a "sport" button.
