Completely believable...think they call it a "Wednesday" build. I pulled a 198.6whp with only a CAI, 17% and colder plugs. Cant wait for the mods to stack up the POWAH

Tonight i'll do the time tests you recommended and i'll post the results. Please have in mind that my Mini is heavy (roof, leather, clima, stock wheels with runflat tires, me - 94 kg)
Me and lfa used my scan gauge 2 to measure the car's pressure. We pulled the car hard four times almost into the rev limits 6690 rpm. In every single run the car showed 16 psi which is about 1.1 bar. So the pressure loss is out of the question. The scan gauge 2 has also the ability to measure approximately HP (http://www.scangauge.com/support/horsepower.shtml) and i saw 191 HP.

What do you think about the difference with the dyno results?

I dont think the scangauge would be as accurate as a dyno....

yes x gauge can be more accurate than the dyno we all pay hundrends of $ or €...as it pulls directly informations form the car itself....this is my opinion since it measures that cars HPs while the car is on road and not on a machine and also it uses the real air temeprature...

haw anybody here measured its car's horsepower using the x-gauge and after that compare it with the results he gets from an accutare dyno?

thank you for your answers in advance

I'll have another mini measured today with the scan gauge which was on the dyno with me. We will have the results today, which is a good baseline for us to work on

I have the results of the tests:

As i have mentioned before we have tested 2 MINIs

1st MINI- 15% SC pulley, Alta V2 CAI, JCW GP i/c

MAHA Dyno Run: 180 HP temp 15 C
Scan Gauge Run: 191 HP temp 8 C

2nd MINI - 5% SC pulley, Alta CAI, ALTA V2 i/c, MTH, 2% crank pulley, Cat Back

MAHA Dyno Run: 213 HP temp 15 C
Scan Gauge Run: 222 HP temp 8 C

It is clear that the dyno has 10 HP difference than the scan gauge. To tell you the truth the scan gauge results are more realistic having in mind the mod of each car.

What to you think?

There are some minis with the same setup as the 2nd one but with a cam that barely make that much power on a custom tune.

I would also like to see this, considering a dyno is $50,000 +....would like to see if it reads the same

Found this. http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...-readings-fyi/ ..he wrote a letter to scangauge...they replied with
"We have done testing on several cars at a dyno and found the ScanGauge to be reading around 15-20% higher then wheel hp."

Scangauge probably doesn't take into account the energy loss from the drivetrain - tranny, wheels, rolling resistance.... ?

I've used a scangauge on my Honda for the last 5k miles. I check every tank of fuel for MPGs. The scangauge is within 2-3% everytime.

If this helps. This Dyno run was done on a Dynojet as well and in 4th gear.
Tire size, Gear and wieght of tires makes a difference. (ran the car later with Holies and 205/50/15 I made 7 more whp and 10 lbs of tq). The Baseline when I first got the car I ran with the S-"lites" and run flats. The Hp was 157whp cant recall the Tq, due to at the time I didn't care about tq and only the HP.

Later I dynoed it after putting on the 15% pulley and (original Frans) MTH tune. along with 3 other Mini same Mth tune. We all Pulled 178whp +- 2 hp
Like Matt I would say your in the Norm.

Since then I did this run below. what is not mentioned (it was copy and paste) was that I had the JCW v.32 programming and 380cc injectors

Dyno RUN . Mugami's MCS
Weight : 2750
Mods: 19% pulley, M7 LW Flywheel, Stage 3 clutch, Phantom grip LSD "street", GTT intake and IC, Dual Supertrapp 4 disk each, Steel 15" rims, 205/60/15 Falkin tires.

I went to the dyno at Crazy Horses in South Amboy and i put down 203hp and 164tq. My air fuel was 14.8 I'm kinda of nervous about that. I'm going to buy JCW injectors right now and hopefully that will fix my problem.

why be nervous...i rather be rich than lean. ur a/f should be tuned to your mods with the MTH program so i dont know why ur running rich....and if ur getting injectors id rec 400-440 rather than the jcw 380s being you have a 15% pulley with a 2% crank

I think you're mistaken. 14.8 is super lean as the number goes down it becomes rich. Oh yeah, the MTH was done when i just had the 15% pulley and nothing else.
