Belt Q

I'm at 33k miles on my 06 MCSa. Time to think about changing the belt, if only for peace of mind. I've heard good things about the Goodyear Gator belt, can anyone give me a part# for use with a 15% pulley? Other options are certainly welcome.

TIA

Talk to Danny and Jan. They use the Gates belt for the 15% pulley.

They recommend Gates for the 19% pulley too. That's what I ordered earlier this week.

Gates K060532 - 19% Pulley

This is one of those FAQ type Q's, but darn hard to find in search.

Gates K060535 with a 15% or 16% pulley.

Best pricing I've found is $20.99 at Jegs.

From: Washington. No, the other one.
The equivelent Gatorback # would be 6060k535 (or 6060535k), I believe. (6 ribs, 53.5 inches long)

A moderator should make a sticky thread for belt sizes for different pulley/crank setups.

That's a great idea, but we'd have to get everyone to agree on the correct sizes first

I'm not familiar with those numbers.
The Gatorback belt I use is 4060537. 53.75 inches 6 Ribs.
Picked it up at Autozone.

i use the gates 535 for the 15%, works very well (no slippage). With a 537 i had a bit of slippage after the belt had stretched after 10k miles or so...

While the 537 works, as shown below, it doesn't work as well as it could. Jan has been recommending the smaller belts for a tighter fit (no slippage).

I guess the more correct numbers, for Gates, would be:

*Stock crank pulley*
15%, 16%, 17% - K060535
19% - K060532
