Borla Street Mid-Pipe on Borla Sport?

I currently have a Borla Sport exhaust on my car and want to do a resonator delete to get a little more volume out of the exhaust. I don't think it'll do anything for performance but I do love the way the Borla sounds just want it a little bit louder. Does anyone know if the Borla Street mid-pipe, just the part that bolts to the header, is a straight fit to the rest of the Borla Sport exhaust? Looking for this as an option before I go have an exhaust shop weld me up a piece...

Thanks in advance.

I like to do the same or find a shop that will make a mid-pipe that will just clamp onto the Borla Sport instead of being welded in case I want to pop the resonator back on for long road trips.

I didn't even think about using the Borla Street mid pipe. I'm going to email Borla and see if it fits.

Totally forgot to follow up with Borla on this until today.

Short Story:
Yes the Straight Pipe is a Direct Replacement for the Resonator.

Long Detailed Story:

I currently have the Stainless Steel Cat-Back System Aggressive (Part # 140119) for my 2004 Mini Cooper S. I would like to replace the resonator with a straight pipe. Is the straight pipe from the Stainless Steel Cat-Back System (Part# 140120) the same length as the Resonator from the 140119 system?

If so, how I can I purchase just the Straight Pipe from 140120?

Borla's Response:

The two parts are interchangeable. The straight pipe you want is part number 52614 and costs $105.36 plus shipping. It takes around 3 – 4 weeks to make.

Borla can be contacted at http://www.borla.com/contact/
