No, but you could use the inline intake charger DEI makes. It goes inline in your intake tubing. Has a "bullet" suspended in the middle of the tube which the co2 is ran thru. This super freakin' cools the bullet and subsequently all air passing over it. Makes one heck of a CAI for the Cooper. Doesn't seem to be room in the S for this, but it should fit the Cooper.

Doesn't that "bullet" in the middle of the intake path impede the airflow?

My only question is how often you can kick that stuff in going around a 180 degree traverse.

Nice setup though – and wish you all the luck with tickets, insurance and bail.

That "bullet" was designed by an aerospace engineer in a wind tunnel. It is not very restrictive, and the benifits of the chilled air exceed any loss of air flow. Under normal driving, the loss should be minimal.

Ooops!
When purchasing spare tanks, remember to make sure the tank has a draw tube inside so that it draws liquid not gas. I was wondering why one tank worked great and the next would not.

Just another suggestion. To be safe, make sure your cans have a pressure release valve in case of overpressurization. Also make sure that you install a blow down tube that goes from the release valve to the outside of the car (e.g. through the floor board). FYI, the blow-down tube will keep you from flooding the cabin with CO2 in the event the pressure release valve is triggered.

FYI NOS is cheaper CO2 here in Seattle. Could you use NOS rather than CO2?

I dont see why you couldnt except the danger of the motor ingesting some through the intake as it spills out of the spray bar, through the motor compartment.

It could lean you out a bit.....maybe hurt the motor.

Nitrous is $5./lb here in MA. Co2 is only $1.80/lb.

Check my post "my dyno result" dated July 23. I had some problems with Co2 ingestion on the dyno
I think I need a small hood scoop...

Just my two cents, BUT- I think we should refrain from randomly spraying a super flammable substance like NOS into our intercoolers for the cooling effect. PFFT--BOOM. Maybe ( i hope) I misunderstood the previous post.

NOS isn't flamable it's an oxygenator. NOS, when heated, breaks down into it's component parts, oxygen and nitrogen. The oxygen is what we're all after, okygen when mixed with more gas makes MORE power.

You could fill a room with NOS and walk it with a blow torch it wouldn't do a thing.

Cheers,

Paul
