GP intercooler install instructions needed.

Did a search and didn't find anything. Does anyone have the GP intercooler install instructions?

It should not be any different from installing any other intercooler.

Assuming you got all the parts (new mounting brackets, underhood piece), it's really easy. You will replace the stock mounting brackets for the IC with the new ones, unscrew your stock plastic underhood piece and replace it with the new one. The GP IC itself fits exactly as the "S" one.

hehehe, how'd you guess? BTW, T loved it. Says thanks. She was very excited that it still had the JCW logo on the cover. Told 'ya.

OK, so the new brackets replace the old brackets? The ones on the bottom, right?

The front brackets are shaped like a U but upside down, They are the same ones used on the OEM IC. THe ones in the back need to be changed with the new twisted metal ones that should have come with your GP IC. Otherwise the install is exactly the same as the OEM. Might as well change plugs if you are near time to do so. GP IC has to come off for plug changes.

The diagram on RealOEM might be of some help too.

If you have any issues just pop on over. I'll be happy to show you how to install. I'll give you those wheels too...

Look at post# 15 http://www.mini2.com/forum/engine-dr...tercooler.html for the areas of the underhood insulation that should be massaged to keep it from wearing through.
