Another Great RMW Tune w/ Dyno Graph

Last week I had my 2005 MCS, w/ basic mods (15% pulley, exhaust, CAI) tuned by Jan from Revolution Mini Works. I thought Jan achieved great results but Jan felt that the tune could even be refined further...so....today Jan refined the tune. He smoothed out the torque curve, got rid of the 3,000 rpm flat spot and slightly increased the WHP and torque from the already amaziing RMW tune from last week. The attached chart speaks for itself. The car has never driven so smooth and the car pulls like all hell from 2500 rpm to redline. PS - these numbers are at the wheels Two BIG THUMBS UP to Jan and Danny (Mini Corsa) and Dimsport software. It has never been so fun to own a MINI.

That looks freakin' awesome! How come the chart says "flywheel power" if the result is at the wheels? Sorry if that is a noob question; I know ZERO about dynos or dyno tuning.

I asked the same question. The heading on the graph is wrong. The HP and Torque are at the wheels.

Jan also tuned a JCW car today. I think he increased the wheel torque 26 ft-lbs. The most amazing thing about my tune is that I have over 180 ft-lbs of wheel torque between 3,000 and 5700 rpm which is where I do 90% of my driving.

I can say without a doubt.... Larry's car is the STRONGEST Mini I have ever seen.... I am going to do a compression test on this one and a leak down because this car should NOT make that kind of HP

Congrats to Larry for having a HOT MINI and congrats to Jan for another great tuning job!

This makes me excited for this weekend when Jan tunes my '02 MCS. Of all the R53's I've owned, this one is the quickest feeling stocker so far; I'm excited to see how it reacts to Jan's "midas touch".

Congratulations. So now everyone with a 15% pulley and RMW tune will get these great results. 220whp. Who needs a head with those results. This confirms what I've been saying all along. The majority of the gains available with the Mini are in the tuning and not the bolt on parts.

Damn! Good work Jan. I have a question for the tuners, Jan & Big Dog, what's the highest mileage Mini you guys have tuned? At what point if any does in not become practical anymore?

No, this confirms what every one else has said that there are huge differences in our cars. Even Jan can't believe how strong this car is and No, he isn't claiming that these numbers will be the same for other cars with the same mods..

If you agree that these numbers are the average for the mods posted how come you only got an average of 4hp gain in Florida?

Cause of the hot hot heat!

NOT, I'm hoping to get Jan down here sometime next year to tune a couple of cars. Hopefully while the air temps are still cool, but there's just so much going on right now..

Got mine tuned by Jan yesterday as well, went from 183.4 to 202.1 hp after the tune with 10pounds of torque increase. The difference is HUGE. I drive about 46 miles each way every day to work, and the power increase makes driving so much more fun. I'm super pleased by the results.

Congratulations . That's a really nice increase that I'm sure you can feel. It really changes the car when you get over 200.

Is it the best bang for the buck or what?

Great results - what engine mods are on your car?
