Drivetrain Problems with big bore TB
Problems with big bore TB
I have a MCS with basic mods and JCW injectors. Ever since I installed a 62 mm TB back in 2005 the car runs very lean at high rpms. From 6,000 to redline the AFR jumps from abut 11.0 to 12.5-12.7. The fuel pump seems fine. Any ideas??? Thanks.
What size pulley/pulley combos are you running?
My first thought would be that you're running a faster than 15% pulley setup...the air demanded by the setup is now finally not being limited by your TB, and your injectors are unable to keep up.
My best guess.

15% SC, No crank pulley and JCW 380 injecotrs
Are those post-cat AFRs or pre-cat? If it is pre-cat that isn't too bad, but still would be better to run under 12. Hmmmm. Have you tried switching back to the stock TB to see if the problem persists?
