A friend of mine that lives near San Diego, CA is ready to do his first "mod" for his new 2003 MCS.

He started looking for a MagnaFlow dealer and from MagnaFlow's website found one alright. (Not sure of their name) But they wanted $900 for the Cooper S exhaust and $170 to install it!!! I was VERY shocked since the going rate for the MagnaFlow is $600 for the Cooper S. ...and I got mine here in Florida installed at the price.

Any ideas for a "reasonable" San Diego dealer/Installer?

Thanks in advance, for any info...

Yfoiler - that is actually the retail price on the Magnaflow for the S. They have increased their pricing and actually want me to remove my pricing from the website (but I can sell it for whatever I want).

To CA I charge about $50 in shipping, and I retail the system for $599. Any muffler shop can do the install for an hour's labor or less.

I would have him call Magnaflow directly - and if he is local, and they won't sell directly to him, I have had customers do a will call and avoid shipping costs.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Randy,

You absolutely ROCK! You MUST come to Greenville/Charlotte/Atlanta area sometime near the end of September to do some group installs. The MINI will be in and I would love to drop a chunk of change for the "RANDY" package.

Randy,

Thanks VERY much, and I'll relay all your info to him.
I had no idea MagnaFlow had increased their prices by that much for the S.
I guess I'm pretty lucky to have gotten mine in under the wire.

See you in Atlanta for the Pulley and ECU... (hopefully we'll get enough cars!!!)
