You might want to try this w/ R53 exhaust tips
Okay, don't ask for pictures, because I'm digitally picture illiterate and ...maybe someone has already addressed this, but I just had this idea...
I just saw a MINI with a custom exhaust and the outlet tips that seemed a little short. So I looked under my Liquid Yellow/yellow MCS '03 and U can "adjust" the exhaust tips with a hex wench. I extended the stock tips probably about "1" inch and IMHO they look diff if not "cool?"
They actually look a little like a older center mounted BMW 5 series exhaust (one of my favs). I kept the hex pointing straight down, but U could also twist the tips each pointing just a little "outboard" and make them even a touch more unique (I didn't). I kept the rear/forward edges up under the rear bumper, so visually you couldn't see the "backs /forward facing" edges of the tips. Maybe someday I'll become visually/digitally literate?
