Drivetrain Remus Exhaust
Anyone out there with a Remus exhaust on their Cooper, please post your description of the sound. I am especially interested to know if there is any increased noise inside the car.
Also would like feedback on other performance exhausts such as Supersprint. Thanks.

I tried to get as much info as I could, it is hard, so I understand your dilemma. The videos at Mini Madness are nice. There are pictures also at Mini Mania and Moss Mini, who both sell the Remus unit. The Remus is a muffler with a short pipe and tip, not a complete CAT back system. This gives it a lower price but a more difficult installation since you will have to cut into the stock pipe. I bought the stainless CAT back system from Mini Mania. You can hear it inside the car but it's not too loud. It fit fine and all parts are polished chrome-like stainless, it was almost too pretty to hide under the car. I believe it is the only system that comes with a small baffle you can insert in the tip to make it quieter, it is easy to take this in and out with one screw. If you are in the UK I think I would go with the John Cooper Works system. I almost did, but the shipping costs were just too high.MINI Mania
