apologies for first posting. the first link connects you with a paid subscription site - Atlasf1.com - worth it if you are intererested in Formula One.
the second link does, I agree, mysteriously goes to their German page, but if you click on 'technik' on the left, the next page up has an English option at the bottom left.
To summarise key points of the article in Atlasf1 -
- Schnitzer recognised BMW tuner
- Schnitzer Sportscar Ltd. set up in UK and offering 200 hp MCS
- same performance figures as JCW, but max power at 6200 rpm (as opposed to 6950) and max torque at 3600 rpm (4000 for JCS), new exhaust
- same performance but more refined
-lower sports suspension (article says 3 inches!! but suspect typo)
-new 17 inch 5 spoke alloys with 205/45R Pirellis
-body kit (site shows pictures) including wheel arch extensions in body colour, black or alloy rimmed bonnet scoo, alloy pedals, handbrake, gear **** and footrest.
prices quote are in pounds sterling: 3,480 for performance upgrade, 1,655 for handling and 2,440 for styling pack.
not cheap but neither is JCW.
" All the Schnitzer options are approved by BMW, so the Mini's standard warranty is not affected and the Schnitzer components are covered by an unlimited mileage warranty".
