The crank pulley is NOT a balancer so don't stress on the brg's etc. (My opinion is totally different on a keyed balancer v8, v6 etc. But the MINI is not a concern.) But stress on the right tune for the setup.

Just my two cents! Good luck and no matter what enjoy the mods!

If you are going to reduce the size of your crank/sc pulley a tune should be done with it. The tune will help to maximize the performance of those mods.

Which NGKs are recommended?

Paul
so you'll have to wade through the search function on the site for a part number.

But there are a couple of threads where the tips of the Densos have been posted. I too found that while the nice narrow tip is good when the plugs are first put in, they don't pipe the heat out as fast, and the tip melts and rounds. This changes the gap a bit, and also the voltage required for break-down and spark initiation.

I thought the insulatorias supposed to be light brown or tan, and that a clean white insulator means that the plug is too hot of a heat range (or that the mixture is too lean).

I have the M7 16% pulley and it is definitely worth it. I had mine installed with the GIAC flash as well. The shop told me that I didn't need anything else with that setup, but if I were to go with a 17% pulley and corresponding GIAC flash, then they strongly recommended going with larger injectors.

My "Pooper" has plenty of M7 mods and I have never had a problem with any one of them. Nothing has ever broken or failed, everything is well manufactured, clean, well packaged, and comes with great installation instructions.

Are you planning on driving on the street or the track? Anytime someone takes their Mini on the track and presses it "all out" things will break, so make sure you are getting information based on how the car is driven.

I am totally happy with everything I have purchased from M7.
