Brand new. I purchased one and it is brand new still sealed. I installed it today and love the feel and my Whalen Shift Machine fit perfectly.

I have a B&M sitting waiting over a year to install in Artoo but frankly I am concerned about the **** height (the stick is 1 3/4 shorter) and more shift force. I have not driven one and don't want to do the install and then be unhappy. My shifter is silky smooth now and if the throw gets shorter that would be good but I don't want the overall feel to be much difference.

I am really hesitating pulling the trigger on this mod and am glad to add your accolades to my decision matrix.

There is definately a liittle more effort required to move the shifter, but not much. It feels notchier now (I used the billet bushings that came with the kit). The more I have driven with it the more I like it. Reverse takes the most effort to engage.

And the height? What do you think about the lower ****?

The lower **** is fine. I kinda like it better than the stock height. Feels more race car like. I have the factory center arm rest and the shift **** is even with it when I rest my elbow on it. I understand your concerns as this mod is time consuming (mainly just getting to the shifter from underneath) to do and would be a pain to reverse. Too bad your not closer you could try mine first and see if you really like it.
