My favorite mod I guess is myself.

It took a while to settle into R56 coming from an R50....all the switches felt different, sport mode offered subtle options as did the ambient lighting and readout options on the OBC and speedo. I also had to figure out the best way to use the glovebox and the secret compartment for my stuff. Then there was the whole driving thing...engine performed differently, handling was different. Over a period of five months I finally feel like I'm getting in sync...and more in love every day...w/ this car. Lots of subtlety...lots to discover. Maybe other mods are in my future...I added a shorty antenna early on and am after MINI for an English Oak shift **** (my current project), but those are all secondary. Really getting a sense of this car "as is" takes some patience but I've found (w/ both my R50 Cooper and R56 Cooper) that it is an important first step I personally need take.

I surely love my Alta intake and catback exhaust, but I think my H&R springs are my favorite mod. They TOTALLY change the feel of the car. Simply amazing. I <3 them.

Go to an exhaust shop, get a custom exhaust, go get your mini professionally tuned, the end.

then leave the engine alone... Rode in my buddies R53 he went that route instead and he's pumped to 250hp 265lbs/torque for only about 1 grand... vs 50hp for $2500 worth of upgrades. Just my 2 cents~ Personally still <3 just showing some fact!

WTF??? I call BS seeing as how Alta is the first to announce an ECU tune, and it's not even officially available yet.

If it's so good why is it on your buddy's car and not yours? Is the same buddy that has the JCW kit? You have a lot of buddies with superior cars.

If this is true why doesn't that shop market the thing and retire early?

My favorite (only) mod would be the ALTA CAI/ Turbo Inlet Hose combo. Very sweet, easy to install, and you feel the difference immediately

I like this front bumper too...it's off the AC Achnitzer Mini. It reminds me of an M5.
