Exhaust cut out

Did a search and didnt find anything...Any soundclips? Pictures? Anyone have one? Is it possible to put it pre-cat?

I took the exhaust off at the post cat (unbolt). It sounds awesome and burbles and pops (LOUD)...but at 3-7K....I'm deaf.

I imagine putting any sort of cutout precat would screw with your o2 sensors and set off a CEL.

Search through the last...4-6 pages of MSFITOY part 2 thread. Nitrominis has one on his car.

I have the eletronic controlled cut out. I have a 1 ball system, and I tied the cut out to the otherside that I removed the muffler, so it is at the end of the system!! Switch on the lower dash!! On the dyno, it pulled 3 more WHP than my one-ball did!! Loud, yes!! My grandson opens it and drives the local streets. then closes the exhaust and drives back thru..lol Under hard accel... it rips!!

Just me.......................................

I've run both open header and open mid-pipe (Borla) and it's ******* LOUD.. Sounds like a racecar at WOT from idle-7k lol... A bit loud for everyday driving which is a good thing about the cut-out, not always there.. I say go for it..

Yea, since my donut gasket on my OBX header has failed, I've essentially been driving around with an open header, and even though its REALLY loud, I kind of like how it sounds :-)

My answer would be yes...but you will get a CEL if you don't have an O2 simulator. Oh, and your car will smell real real bad.
