Adam hi,
a quick question again.
In your dyno chart you mention that the gain is about 20whp from 3 single parts.
Do we have any number of performance available if we install the ic alone?
I have installed it about a month now, but haven't dynoed yet because I plan to install also a 3" full exhaust and then make a final dyno.
Do we have any performance indication about the fmic alone?

Thanks again.

I asked Adam a similar question about some ECU only charts and he said they did loads of runs on his new 2008 Clubman but that they haven't had chance to put them up with the big AMVIV event coming up

I am not 100% sure we have a dyno plot published for JUST the core. Jeff has some with him on his trip to show clients at AMVIV.

He should come back early next week. Also, you can check out this link:

Then on Features Tab for more information.

Thanks again!

I know that, I am just asking what is the gain of the IC ONLY, not of the 3 parts that you are mentioning...

Yup! I understand completely! Jeff may have that data in the dyno logs, that I don't have or he has them and not cleaned up. He should be able to get to that sometime next week after he gets back.

Sorry if you thought I was lost!

Chat soon!

Adam,
the reason I am asking is because here ( https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...=131084&page=2 ) you mention that the gain of ALTA FMIC vs OEM FMIC is 20whp, but in the website you mention that the gain of 20whp is from 3 parts combined, not of the FMIC alone.
So, which is the real number here that I can rely on?

The FMIC by itself is a 20 WHP gain.

The other parts add more than that.

What I need is to get the proper information in dyno plot form and get it published here to help resolve the confusion. Jeff has em, and will do it ASAP! Likely next week!

Anyway,
I am sure that you will be able to provide us with a specific (and indicative only) number about the gains of ALTA FMIC vs OEM FMIC alone because in one post you mention that the gain is 20whp, but in your website you mention that this gain is of 3 parts combined.
Hoping that you will clarify that.

Regards,
Marios from Greece

Please ignore it since that the time I was writing it, you had already answered that.

So basically, the dyno in the website must be corrected, right?

There are 2 sets of dyno's currently on the website.
1st set is OEM v Prototype ALTA - gain 20-30lbft tq / 15-20whp
2nd set is Prototype ALTA v Production ALTA - gain 10lbft/10whp

So "Technically", you could "*** U ME" (we know what that spells) it is 30-40lbft / 25-30whp for the final production FMIC with all the other mods installed listed.

To be honest, I think they need to remove all that now as it is confusing many people and keep the important info such as how it flows better and lower pressure drop than OEM and include more representative charts of OEM v ALTA FMIC.

Having lived in CA for 13 years (3 with a chipped VW GTI) I can tell you the biggest PLUS you will see is reduction in heat soak I would think. I know last summer my MCS was definitely down on power in the summer due to the heat.
The real kicker came when I got here to TX in January and near freezing temps ..... WOW .... felt like someone had chipped my MCS with all that nice cold dense air

Regarding your first option, the gain is with three parts installed, not just the FMIC.
So I just need to know this simple answer in my question, of what is actually the gain of installing the FMIC alone.

Hey folks, I just kicked Jeff in the stones to get some more info up. But i was informed that much of that has to be reloaded due to a perpetual issue with our image server. Regardless he will be up and on here ASAP!

Thanks for the continued patience guys! We want nothing more than to help!

hey Adam,

I know you guys are having problems with the image server, but is there any way you could post up some sort of link or attachment for the intercooler install PDF? I'd love to look it over while mine is en route
