header questions should i wrap them

I hust bought and install a set of headers and now im noticing radient heat coming from them should i wrap them with thermotec header wrap or buy a heat blanket not sure what to do then i was looking at the wraps and they have black, whaite, and copper which is better and would i have to use the paint too. thanks for the help

Whatever you do,
make sure you do not use the blancket, all it does is restric the airflow going to the back of the engine, that is needed to send the hot air (around the header) under the car.

Coating works great, so does the wrap, I have used only the silver one.

Depends on the header. I was told that you do NOT want to wrap a ceramic coated header, as it can damage the coating. If you have bare steel pipes, then wrap 'em.

Don't wrap any headers as it causes long term corrosion.
Your much better off getting them sprayed with a HPC coating or similar.
