Alta R56 turbo back installed!!

Well, got the exhaust installed today...Sounds AWESOME!!! Great exhaust tone and can totally hear the engine, turbo, BOV(or whatever it's called) more, overall, sounds just awesome. Great power too!!! Should go great with the Alta intake that I just ordered! Just wondering how long it'll take the ecu to learn? Awesome part Alta By the way, tips look sweet

how do you reset the ecu again(can't find the thread on it)? I tried it today, after exhaust install, but I don't know if it did anything. Unhook negative battery terminal and......then what.

To reset your ecu just disconnect the neg. battery then press on the brake pedal for about 5 seconds. Then reassemble, put the car in run for about 10 sec., and start the car.

Scott: Glad you are enjoying the new power and volume! I suggest on the ecu reset, when you restart the car, let it idle for two heating cycles with all accessories off. Then drive it hard. Might help!

Thanks folks!

scott48: You were in the first batch though to get the kit and since you are West Coast that might have helped too. Post the video, audio if you can. I am illiterate computer wise, so since most of my team is at MITM I haven't been able to post the audio that I want too. (Plus the audio took forever to get back to the point where I can drive it!)

Thanks again!

I definitely need to drive it a little more to see all the performance gains, but there's definitely more power...pulls harder throughout the whole rpm band.

Those tips are SO sick! Everytime I see them I want to call up Alta and order! I have to wait until Winston is broken in though. Wouldn't be much fun before that.

Ay chance of getting a sound clip?

Ok, so after driving some more, I can make a better assessment on the power gains. More power throughout, but even more torque at low rpms(some serious torque!), and I've noticed when you accelerate hard, when you reach like 4500rpm it seems to get a surge of power(probably cause that's where the hp gain is) and it really takes off!!

Yahoo!!! Thanks so much man!!! I've got the money burning a hole in my pocket, just waiting on a decent sound clip to make sure it's what I want to go with.

Just got mine (ALTA Cat-Back) installed today on my 07 MCSa. Also sounds great, but I'm still in limp-along-mode until I get a few more miles on this puppy. Thinking of setting it on blocks and running the engine (a-la Ferris Bueller !)

Will report back when I can open it up a bit.

BTW, Before I reach 1,200 mi can I park in the Handicapped areas?

Man, I just don't know if I could do that to myself. It's bad enough having a stock MCS that I have to drive around like an old lady. I can't imagine having a modded MCS that has to still be babied. That would drive me CRAZY!!! :impatient
