Ireland Engineering Catback Installed

On Monday I got in the Ireland Engineering system. It has been on back order for a while. It was being offered at $361 introductory price. That was honoured as my order had been in for a while....

My 2002 MCS is stock but a CAI. It went in fairly easily. Tomorrow I need to take it to a muffler shop for a few adjustments to the hangers. I will try and get a few pics up. It sounds wonderful!

What did you think about the fit and finish of the exhaust? Does the tail pipe line up properly? In terms of the sound, how much louder than stock would you say it is? I've done the pulley and the CAI, the exhaust is the next thing for me and I really like the price of this exhaust.

The finish is nice. The fit was not bad, but not perfect either. I have posted a few pix during the install. A little bit of work at a muffler shop to clean it up and have it welded all the way.

It sounds verrry nice. Some burble, a nice OMMMMMMM sound (I like OM's!)
No droning so far as I can see (I have NOT been able to do any cruising beyond 75 this week). It is definately louder than stock, but how much??? I dunno.
