Is that the same company that brought us the adorable "Lamarossa"?

Remember, "patience is a virtue"!
Sorry; tomorrow, now.
Honeywell kicked my butt again; but I'm finishing their latest crisis job right now, and then it's all you.
I just won't answer the phone tomorrow; and I'll lock the door and turn the lights out.

I'll use my great power of imagination and watch you working the magic...
BTW...SS or aluminum? which will work better for this application Doug?

I'll make this one out of aluminum. I think stainless would be pretty heavy, (though I haven't done the math).
Let's see how this one turns out; I can always play around with stainless, Delrin, or whatever else comes to mind.

If you don't mind Sid, I might have to order one of these. So I know the whole patience thing, but is it going to be on your car for our meeting the 29th?

Gotta wait until Sid road-tests it first.
If it goes over well, I'll offer it as a stock item in aluminum, Delrin (black or white), maybe stainless steel, and whatever else comes to mind.
May as well, since I can't make any of my usual round stainless steel shift *****, for the time being.

Delrin is so easy to machine and inexpensive to buy, it's a pleasure to work with it.
I'll feel guilty having to charge for them.

Did I read that correctly? You can't make your standard ***** at the moment? :(

When I got back from MITM last month, in my pile of mail was a letter from the place that's always supplied me with 2" stainless steel *****, informing me that they were closing their plant in Tennessee, and they had no more inventory.
I was just getting ready to order another 100 at the time, as I was nearly out!
Anyhoo, I spent the next several days scouring the web for another domestic manufacturer, with no luck. It seems they were the last ones in the US, still making soft stainless ***** in that size.
I ordered 200 ***** about three weeks ago, from a supplier who has them made in China (surprise, surprise!). I don't expect them to show up for at least a few more weeks.
Meanwhile, I've been experimenting with turning them in my "poor-man's" CNC lathe.
It's not fun; but as soon as I finish tweaking the program, I should be able to make them, and get a fairly decent surface finish. I just haven't been able to devote much time to it, at this point.
