coolant pressure ;

i bought an aluminum coolant tank from seven enterprises some time ago. it was said to take a stant 30 lb. cap . am i remembering right ? does 30 lbs. seem okay? they don't seem to be on the vendor list anymore .

30 lbs is pretty darn high. There are some BMW places that sell Stant 24 or 30 lb caps. I'm not sure what the stock MCS system pressure is. I wouldn't expect it to be over 15 lbs though.

I fabricated my own aluminum overflow tank some time ago, and yes 30 lb stant "race only" cap works well.

wher'ed you sorce the cap ? is it something that an auto zone would have ?
