Looks like the cheepest header is 630$ no cat. Why not get a collector from Jegs and if you want a high flow cat, port the flange wrap it and save some $. I think this is what I am going to do. Randy, want to dyno it when I am done? I could do one without the cat also but I need a scrap header anyone anyone?

What do you mean by "port the flange"? Which flange?

The flange that bolts up to the motor. I just said it guessing that the match to the head would not be exact and could be cleaned up some.

Got it. I think you're probably right about the fit/finish between the head and the exhaust man, too. In fact, there was a recent post about headers that suggested about 1/8" or so where the "flange" and the exh port in the head didn't overlap cleanly.
