Quaife Install ?'s

After pulling out my diff from my trans to replace it with a quaife, I found that in order to get it back together, I need to pull the diff bearings off. But as we all know, when removing the bearings they break 80% of the time. I've checked out realoem.com for the part number, can't find it because they don't list any internal trans parts, called the local dealer, they refused to help in any way. I'm now asking you guys, the wonderful MINI community if anyone else has done this on their own? If so, how did you go about it?

There is a number on the bearings you pull, I believe they are of the SDK brand.
I have a Quaife om my 2003 MCS and got some Timken ones of which I have a number, I don't have the SDK numbers. Donnow about Timken availability in the US, but may be it helps.
Timken LM501349-20024/LM501310-200

I used the LM501349. Its pretty much a generic #. Just call your local parts store and give them that numer. I think the bearings I got were Federal-Mogul.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I'll see if I can get anything off of these numbers.

Hey Zak! I didn't know you were trying to get the bearing part numbers! I have those in my Palm as being Timken Part # LM501349. Sounds like we all have the same info, LOL.

I usually SKF bearings LM501349, I get them from NAPA and the NAPA brand bearings are cheaper, but still made by SKF. Plus it's pretty inexpensive to just get new ones rather than risk reusing old bearings.

My bearings were toasted, hence why I'm also upgrading to an LSD.
