I go thru a belt about once a year. Ive tried them all and no other belt is any better than another. i dont know if im alone in this boat but i change mine every year or less....always have a few spares layin around.
The tensioner has a guage to monitor the belt which I paid no attention to, it was only when the car seemed to loose its punchiness that I realized the belt had stretched. The belts are certainly cheap enough so swapping it out MORE often is no big deal. I will be using this concept going forward.
