A good place to start is http://www.mcshp.org

I dont think the list there has been updated to include Randy's pulley software, but otherwise you've got a nice little list. Diamond Racing, Digital Tuning, ERT, G-Power, H&S, GIAC, MINI Madness (up to stage III), MVR, Power Chips, Rumphorst, SKN, SuperChips and Wetterauer.

There's likea gazillion posts out here on ECU stuff, but here's what I know:

Evotech in multiple flavors depending on what mods you have (available from mini-motorsport.com)
Powerchip in two flavors (w/pulley mod or stock) powerchip.com
Superchips from diamond racing

There's probably some others but these are the ones that come to mind.

I'm waiting on GIAC too, have met him in person and have seen what he has done with not only VW's but 2.7t S4's, 911 turbo's and many others. The problem is his time is limited as chiptuning is almost like a side business for him. LEts just hope it comes out soon!

well, according to my vw mechanic, he is still testing it as the dealers have been flashing our ecu's, he want to make it dealer friendly. so that is where the hold up is. i even offered my car as a test car mainly because i trust his work, seem big improvements on all cars that he does, and i even got him to custom make a chip that he hasn't touched since he originally wrote it in 91. that was a chip for the vsr intake manifold. took him awhile, but he finally got time to do this for me, as i will be the only one out of about 500 people (only 500 of these manifolds were made), with this chip. but again, hise software is great and would love to bring him back into my car life, but this time for the mini.

The list at MCSHP.ORG is very good starting point, but you need to specify which market you're interested in. Also, what I'd like to see is some notation as to how the software is loaded.

I tried to get the Hartge kit installed in Germany for my U,S, spec MCS, but their US distributor indicated they didn't support it. (Not too good when the dealer reflashes your ECU.) I suspect that is the case with most of the European tuners.

The only one I see missing from the list is MTH. andy@ross-tech.com has that one installed.

Mexibeetle, send those suggestions in an e-mail to info@mcshp.org I would update the site to include that info, but I don't have admin, and Bryan's pretty buisy. I don't know how often he checks in...
