Sorry, I'm off to Putnam Park a week from Friday for the weekend.

Have fun, looks like I may need my snow tires for Mid-Ohio.

Could be...we had really rotten weather in October for the BMWCCA Buckeye Halloween Party...everything from rain, freezing weather, snow and thundersnow, sleet, high winds, thunder and lightning, leaves blowing thru the cockpit [from open window to open window] ...but it was soooo much fun! I'm going back again in the Fall, for sure!

I'll let you know how it goes. I love Mid-Ohio & haven't raced there since '94. I know I'm not racing, but I will be doing hot laps on one of my favorite tracks.

BE SAFE, but, HAVE FUN! Yeah, I really like that track, too...it's pretty intimidating at first, but if ya enjoy tracking your car, you quickly get the "bug" to come back more for more! It's such a great venue!

I survived BMW's track day / survival school. =)

Wow what a day. Snow cold, cold snow, sun, snow cold & snow snow snow. Darned cold!!!

All told a great day to be in a warn car seat with heaters blasting & doing hot laps of Mid-Ohio. What a hoot.

My all season tires were the hot ticket.

I love driving on a wet track & my last session, boy was it snowing. Nice & slippery. Felt like I was driving a rally stage more than a race track. I can't wipe the stupid grin off my face.

My Welsh Griffen Whalen shaved many seconds off my lap times.

I wish you warm weather for Putnam Welshman.

Chuck, I just KNEW you'd have a ball at Mid-Ohio if the weather was lousy! Funny, but when it's lousy is when the most fun is to be had, because the driving conditions are so much different than what is usually there. I KNOW your Whalen Welsh dragon got ya thru it just fine and am happy for ya!

I can't wait for Putnam next weekend, and hope to have more of the same weather, mostly since my tires are still OEM runflats...can't wait to wear them down enough to replace them, but can't justify just getting rid of them for any other reason, either.

I've driven both Putnam Park AND Mid-Ohio in bad weather. IMHO, that kind of experience just cannot be beat. Usually, conditions are hot and dry...just like most summertime driving. I guess that's why I welcome the chance to do some HP driving when it's wet, too.

Glad you had fun and kept your hands warm...those heaters are grrreat for that, huh?
