I was given a semi-track car...
My old 99 Si belongs to the company I work for. It was given to me yesterday. I plan to turn this into a track only car, but I may want to evaluate what I'm doing against the backdrop of NASA rules.
Currently the car has all hard rubber busings, a Koni/Eibach coilover kit, adjustable upper control arm all around, Type R brakes, 22mm rear bar, strut bars gallore, CAI and that's it. A cage is first on the list, A suspension re-fresh possibly inlcuding new Koni double adjustables and an engine re-fresh as well. I suspect the suspension and brakes have placed in a category that will make this car uncompetative...
I know this ain't a mini, but can any of you folks point me to NASA rules so I cann see what I can and cannot do. Perhaps it'll just remain a fun weekend track car...

If you want to prep it for USTCC, here is the spec sheet. http://ustcc.com/pdf_doc/VSS-Honda-Civic-Si-2006.pdf
and here is a PDF for the Honda challenge rules. http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/Honda-Challenge.pdf
Hope this helps.

Thats no fun
!
I thought the spec list would work for you as there is a late 90's Si compeating in USTCC right now.

Snid,
My frustration stems from trying to create dual purpose cars; daily driver/track car. This one will be track only. About $8,000.00 should finish setting this up nicely. It'l still be registered for the road so I can drive to some tracks or get bread
The Koni double adjustables with Eibachs - Phase 4 kit - will likely keep it from lots of bread duty
It won't look pretty, but that's how I want it to be.

Lots of aero stuff on that Civic. The photo does give me one idea; driving with the windows open creates a pressure backup in the cabin. I wonder of those two holes in the truck allow some air to escape...
My Civic will look much more pedestrian, but hopefully perform at better than walking speed.
