Below freezing here. Can’t drive on the 200TW tires. Well, maybe not the best of ideas. Maybe take the craptastic Hankook AS tires and finish wearing them out.

Really, staying to home with a contractor working on a bathroom that should have been redone 40+ years ago. Better late than never.

If today was one of their half days from 1-5, it would have been fine. Temps got up into the mid to upper 50's. I see snow to the near west on the radar tonight. I got Blue out for some spirited driving this afternoon before the rain arrived. Cobwebs getting shaken off gradually.

Ugh! Had not even considered anything in April. A slim maybe for LRP, but that will have to be last minute. Right now I am looking at WGI in early May with GVC. And I’ve got to get going on that, too.

No, I won't be doing any track days until later in the year.
I did just buy a set of Falken 660s for just $900, an incredible closeout deal. They've come out with a 660+.
You're returning with a vengeance!

@Eddie07S I tried to register for CT Valley BMW Club's event @ LRP for Saturday, April 19th, but they were sold out in all groups. Is it worth a try to just show up and hope someone no shows? It's supposed to be 75 and sunny, at least in the morning, which is when the event is, I believe. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thx!

@gkp Yes, it seems when you get re-infected with the track variant virus, the illness is often more acute and severe...😉

Typically, once the “close” date is passed they don’t accept any more entries. So, likely they won’t accept anymore students. This being an all volunteer run event, with needing to line up instructors and match them to students, they probably need time to make that all happen. However, these groups usually have a contact email that you could ask about what their policy is. You might also want to ask what their policy is for requiring an in-car instructor. I know that GKP found that Patroons would not do a permanent solo sign off for the intermediate run group. Their feeling was that permanently signed off solos needed to be in the advanced run group. I tried to talk to them about that (having solo sign off for the intermediate) and they were not hearing any of it. Not like SCDA.

FYI... I'll be at LRP on Saturday doing an AutoX event run by Gorman Engineering. I went to one of their events last year and it was a lot of fun. Take a look at the course they are running Saturday:

LOL! Mine certainly didn't! That x-cross layout looks super cool. I'd be there but have a bunch of other stuff already on the sked. Good Luck and have fun! Report back if you get it out of 3rd gear😁

I'm up on top all day. Take a ride up when you're done.

Thanks to you, @Eddie07S . Will post updates after, of course. I'll also be watching a certain oversize (compared to a MINI or Mini) Caddy attempt to navigate the X-cross course!

I'll have plenty of time to hang uphill as my schedule is split with Lime Rock Club. I do have a couple of classroom sessions where attendance is actually taken, for a change! Looking forward to seeing you, @gkp
