Any R56s run at the drag strip yet?

I'll try this post in here since it hasn't illicted any responses in the R56 forum.

Just curious if anyone (maybe in a warmer climate than Boston) has gotten their R56 broken in and tested at the drag strip yet. I'm curious what the real world numbers are like. One of my first cars was a MK3 GTI VR6 back in highschool which I ran 14.9 consistently in with just a chip and azenis. I'm assuming/hoping we'll see similiar times in our similiarly powered/weighted vehicles. Anybody have any numbers/thoughts yet? Will low 15's be pretty attainable and maybe even high 14's with a good driver?

It's getting nice out... Someone must have their R56 broken in enough to test it out. I'll be picking mine up tomorrow or wednesday and then getting through the break-in process ASAP.

I'd be interested to see some R56 numbers as well. One thing I've noticed is that they are currently having trouble peeling out so they'd probably have to start out on a roll...

Got 2 runs at the 1/4 mile tonight. Bogged the motor on both lauches but still pulled a 15.0 at 93 mph. That is a stock R56 with a custom 3" catback exhaust on runflats.
I am going to try and get some more runs in a couple weeks.

Is it me or is it wierd that on that youtube video you posted it said that the automatics beat the manual transmissions in every race?

Yes! We saw exactly that at the Press Launch. The best time as I recal was 14.92 for an R56 Automatic with the 17" wheels/runflats.

EDIT: just saw this (video from the day I spoke of just previously)

I read that in MC2 as well, that the auto's are faster than the manuals.

I can back up that info as well.
My friend R53 MCSa is a bit faster than my R53 MCS, both are mildly mod though.

How is your MCS 'mildly modded?' You have more GP parts on it then most of the GPs do

I was surprised by the result as well.
His MCSa, with 17% and CAI (with 17" runflat), ran 14.9 sec on the day.

Just ran my r56s. 15.15 @93mph. Not really trying to launch it due to it being new (1100mi), and the last time I was there I broke the diff in my e30. Bone stock r56s, 6spd stick, sport package w/ summer tires, lsd.

MCSA is slower... they may yield better times than MCS because MCS drivers aren't up to skills.. not that the auto is faster..

I ran mine today. Got a 14.3 @ 98.8 mph with a 2.369 60 ft time. I know I can do better next time! I was having trouble launching it.
